This is a site you must visit to gain a greater understanding of Okinawa and it's place in history. If also offers an insight into Japanese culture.

The bunker was a bit short but the corridor was wider than thought. And it was creepy to see the sucidal spot with holes on the wall.

Historical place with touching stories about war and men in war. Seemed to be boring but turn out to be so much interesting.

This was pretty cool, remembered of Call of Duty World at War... the saddest room was the bomb suicide room, so sad... Anyways, pretty cool underground experience... recommended. Right next to it there's a kids park with long slides ;)

Very thought-provoking place to visit, a real statement to the folly of war and hammers home just how badly Okinawa suffered during the last months of World War II. Definitely worth the trek, even if it's a bit tricky to visit from Naha.

This is a bit boring sightseeing in Naha. We expected to spend one hour or so there but in fact went all through in maybe 15 minutes. This was highly rated in Tripadvisor and that is also why we went there. Finally were a bit disappointed for the experience. Might also be that as there are not so many interesting... More

A must see in Okinawa. Amazing feeling to find out how the Japanese people could hire from the American troops. Loads of details and historical objects.

If you would like to see WWII history, this is a good way to spend a few hours. Easy to get to and the location was correct. I like history and know a bite about the battle for Okinawa. From its vantage you can look north to image the Shuri Line. Interesting seeing. The bunker was interesting to image the... More

From bottom of my heart, I would ask all the foreign guest to visit many war memorial even one. You may find the origin of Okinawan's attitude toward the US Bases. The former Japanese imperial Navy Head Quarter is a one of best place for tourist who would like to... More
