We went and we were not disappointed. The drive on the way there was great and easy. There are plenty of parking available for free. There is also Blue Seal ice cream if you love ice cream. You can pay and make your own glassware. There a few to choose from and you will be guided the entire time. The... More

This is the 2nd to the last itinerary of our tour - we were treated to the actual glass blowing skills of the masters. Very impressive to see how they create works of art!

At the Ryukyu Glass Village it is possible to see glassmaking in action right before your eyes. For those from big cities, this is definitely a unique experience that is normally only seen on television. You are even able to try glass blowing yourself! Additionally, inside there are many beautiful glass products to be viewed and purchased. Also try the... More

Great place to go without reservation to see glass blown and maybe get a chance to do some yourself.

Cute glass craft village. It's out of the way so I wouldn't recommend you coming all the way here to check out some glass. If you do come here, you can try to make some glassware, there are also some amazing glass artwork by Japanese artists.

The drive can be long but it's always worth the trip upon arrival. There are four main sections to this glass campus: the area where glass is blown; the main gift shop with restaurant on the second level; an outlet store; and the artisan's gallery. The center has evolved over the eight years I've lived here unconsecutively. New displays, creations,... More

for someone whom has seen quite a bit, this process of how your glassware is made opened eyes. on a cold windy day, this factory was warm and also filled me with learning. we could not do the self made glass as that needed advance booking...

It's amazing to watch the factory craftsmen use long metal pipes to blow and shape the vases, cups and bowls. Don't forget to visit the Restaurant upstairs!!

Went for a drive around the south end of the island so we dropped by the Ryukyu Glass Village. I really recommend calling ahead if you want to take part in the classes. You can see the craftsmen creating the pieces of art in front of your eyes. If you want to buy glassware there is so much selection. A... More

The glass is famous in Okinawa. The glass handicraft works are exporting to the world. It's good to visit the glass village to understand their traditional and handmade handicraft works. Amazing.
