This is a small but sophisticated facility. The whole neighborhood is simple and classy: the annexed cafe is elegant, some charming galleries are close by, and a fabulous soba restaurant is down the road. It's a bit of hike from town (1 mile), but it's worth visiting!

When we were there, this small modern museum featured beautiful sketches of violins complemented by beautiful violin music and a glass installation of music sheets that seemed to come alive to the music thereby enhancing the experience. A delightful surprise to find such an exquisite museum in the midst of a quiet village in a remote mountainside.
