Thought that we needed to pay to enter this place but it's actually free! You will need to walk for about 15 minutes to the location, there are many shops available by the parking lot. Don't come in late afternoon, because the shops will close early.

One of our guides got us inside where we were instructed on how to pray, how to sit, and how to get a sip of sake. I was having some trouble with my knee that day and they also showed us the monorail that saved us a heinous number of stairs. (YAY!)

The Usajingu Shrine is the head shrine for over 40,000 nationwide. The main hall is designated as a national treasure and is said to be the model for most Hachiman shrines. Visitor’s first impression will be the spaciousness and tranquility of the shrine ground (unless some special event is taking place).
