This shrine was built in 806 and seemed to rebuild in 1610. A unique point of the shrine is its thatched roof. A lot of people pay a visit to this shrine on New Year's day.

Surprisingly the old temple still maintain nicely until today. The steep thatched roof & Momoyama style architecture made it one of the National Treasure of Japan.
