Free flower garden in Awaji . Parking is 200 yen . The flower fields are set against a backdrop of the sea and blue skies , hence the lovely pictures . There are toilets as well as a shop that sells ice cream , snacks and the famous Awagi onions . Worth an hour visit if you are passing through .

The place I enjoyed most in northern Awaji!
Driving is highly recommended. My group tried to cycle there but the slopey terrain and quality of the rental bikes will make your journey a really horrible one.
Ended up turning back and taking a cab there which was another mistake since a round journey of the cab fare was roughly the cost of a day's rental for a small car.
Do go when the flowers are in full bloom and enjoy the scenery in the park.
Oh do note that they really stick closely to their opening hours.

We went here with my folks who were visiting and it really dies have some great views. My parents are really into painting so did some of the landscapes. They’re currently building another place so I guess there’ll be even more reason to go in the future

At the last weekend of Awaji Hanamatsuri, the flowers beds are not in their best but it is still worth a trip to admire the scenic views of flowers, skies and sea.

Awaji Hanasajiki park is one of my favorite weekend relax places in the area.
The flowers are being changed almost every month, pending the season.
You can just relax on the grass slopws ,enjoy the colored flower carpets, have an ice cream and let the kids run around.
The park is accesible by car (i suppose there is also public transportation option since it's Japan). Another option is to cycle to the park (can cross to Awaji island with bicycles, on the Akashi ferry). Not that easy ride since you need to climb from sea level, but very enjoyable.

I totally love this park.

The weather was still nice and cooling when we went there and i wished I could just sit there all day and take in the beautiful view. It would be nice to just sit on the grass, lay a mat and have a picnic!

Pictures don't do the attraction justice. One has to be there personally to experience at least once!

Lovely gardens with massed flower displays most of the year, apparently. Nicely laid out, with good paths. They are currently building an improved visitor centre.

The park is full of flowers in seasons. Our eyes will be pleasured by spectacular view of flower beds and bay. It also free of charge.
The negative side is that it is quite hard to reached if you have not ride private cars.
The most convenience way is by bus from Sannomiya to Higashiura Bus Terminal and then go by taxi

Took a slight detour here when travelling back to Osaka from naruto. Maybe the flowers were not in full bloom as there wasn't much to see. However I gave this attraction a higher rating because I ate the Biwa soft serve and it tasted so refreshing and I loved it more that the soft serve I had in Furano! It's their speciality try it!

This botanic garden on Awaji Island exceeded our expectations by miles. We couldn’t really recognise most of the flowers but by simply being surrounded by them, in this wonderful garden perched beautifully on a hilltop overlooking the sea, it was a short trip well worth taking. We loved it!!
