This is a lovely location we've also skied at in winter, but in the summer it's gorgeous and going through the caves is always pretty cool (or cold, in the case of the amazing ice cave, which has a substantial amount of ice in it all through the summer!). Be warned that going through "Fat Man's Misery" cave will inevitably... More

Great to hear you enjoyed your summer visit as much as your winter visit. It’s beautiful to see the four season transformation. The colour pallet changes from lush forest green to red/yellow/orange to sparkling white to fresh spring green. The Petun tribe actually used the Ice Cave as a natural refrigerator. If guests are nervous about going through the famous... More

Thank you for recommending Scenic Caves as a ‘must see’ and offering your comments. We are open in the fall until end of October. Some activities may close a bit earlier, depending on the weather. It’s advisable to check our website or give us a call in the later fall to check. The Nordic Centre opens for cross-country skiing and... More

Quite a variety of sights. The suspension bridge was interesting, with some nice photo opps. The caves themselves could be a bit treacherous, with damp, slick rocks sometimes covered with moss. And some were very narrow! Overall, a pretty physical walk. Well marked paths.

Thank you for reviewing your enjoyable trip to Scenic Caves. We always enjoy hearing from our American guests. The caves/caverns/crevasses are an example of fissure caves. They are best described as a series of chambers, with sculptured cliffs, overhanging rocks, boulders, tight passageways and jig-saw puzzle fractures. Visitors must be capable of walking securely on their own over uneven trails... More

My husband and I purchased tickets to access the park, caves, suspension bridge and twin zipline. The park is beautiful, caves were fantastic and zipline rocked. My suggestion is to go as early as possible to avoid crowds and get parking. Bring own food, you can have a nice picnic. The suspension bridge was overrated but nice to see, you... More

Anastasija: Thank you for your five star rating of our attraction. We appreciate your enthusiasm for the caves and the Thunderbird Twin Zipline. Your feedback regarding ticket pricing and washrooms will be reviewed at our year-end wrap up. The main building bathrooms can get busy. There are also numerous well maintained porta potties located throughout the property. More

The overall experience was ok but some visitors need to be educated. Parking was horrible, parking lot had limited space and people are rude and fighting for spots. There was one man that drove wrong way to steal a parking spot from a lady trying to park. The cavers were interesting visit but some should have employees monitor and supervise... More

Thank you for taking the time to let us know about your experience. We are pleased that you found the caves interesting. The opinions of our guests are valued and discussed at each year end. It is unfortunate that the rude and disrespectful behaviour of other visitors spoiled your experience. More

This is a fun activity to do if you've got some time to spend and want to explore. The caves are a nice cool diversion from an otherwise hot and sweaty summer day. The hike to the suspension bridge is short and worth the effort as the bridge has some lovely views of the Georgian Bay area. That is disappointing... More

Dear Boris: Thank you for exploring our Attraction. The caves/caverns/crevasses are indeed shady, deep and cool. Underground aquifers also help keep the temperature comfortably low. As you suggested, visitors can view an expanse of South Georgian Bay, stretching from Midland to Wasaga Beach, Collingwood, Thornbury, Meaford and beyond. Your opinion of our pricing will be considered when we review the... More

We did the four in one tour. The suspension bridge, the treetop canopy walk, the scenic caves and the zip line. Absolutely breathtaking tour. Nature at its finest. I felt safe at all times. Dear Gwen: Thank you for your recommendations. It is unfortunate that there was miscommunication regarding bringing personal water bottles. Visitors are permitted to bring water in a backpack. Clip-on bottles are unsafe. Hands must be free of all objects in order to use the tour equipment. A water jug is available for guests part way through the tour and we... More

We stopped in at the Scenic Caves on the way home from the family cottage. They are well worth stopping at. Allow a few hours and if you aren't scared of heights try the long zipline. I have done ziplines all over, I'm in my mid-50s and this was so far the safest one yet. Their stopping system is excellent.... More

Thank you for your exuberant five star review. As you described, the 2550 ft. Thunderbird Twin Zipline is a very safe zipline. The dynamically-controllable trolley technology allows each rider to control their own speed, which can reach upwards to 60-70 km per hour. Thank you for noting that this is not a government-funded park; rather it is a privately owned/operated... More

Darcy: Thanks for sharing your comments regarding the Eco Adventure Tour. Your suggestions to dressing properly and bringing a camera/cell phone are terrific. We appreciate hearing that our property is clean and well maintained. Our staff works very hard to preserve all 370 acres of this designated UNESCO biosphere reserve. As you experienced, the naturally formed caves/caverns and crevasses are not all deep dark underground cavities. Crevasses like Fat Man’s Misery may be walked around if you are nervous to go through.
