What a beautiful spot! Had some surf lessons there. great for beginners but also for the more advanced. there is also a surfboard rental on the way down to the beach. fair prices and super nice staff!

It’s a overcrowded beach for surf, mainly in July and August. Nice beach for beginner. Be aware that the crowed is huge. If you are in a “no rules and no ethic surf” is the place to go for surf.

Beautiful large and chill beach, lots of surfers, not very big waves, good for a whole day at the beach

Amazing beach, amazing surf, this is one of the best surf points in Portugal and a kind of hidden gem.

This beach is something we have not seen before. Is this possible...so impressive. We were wordless. The nature was unbelivable. Sun was shining and it was hot at least when we walked down the beach and back although it was November. Luckily the restaurant opposite the parking place was open. Good food and nice people.
This place is really worth visiting. Quite unique. Europe ends here!

A little more southward you have an attractive beach for surfers— just besides the Pedra da Agulha..A spectaculr view from the hills above( after a 30 minutes walk from Arifana)

There are a lot of local beach opportunities along this stretch of Southwestern Portugal. This one is ample, somewhat easy to get to and simply beautiful. Great beach and high area overlook. We like to go in September after the substantial crowds die down. As for all of them, finding a parking spot is challenging. If you stay at one of the local resorts or those which provide drop offs, perfect. If not,go early and or make parking plans. Cheers

Very dramatic scenery in this beach, which becomes too small at high tide. The last stretch is quite hard to climb for those with disabilities but there are small vehicles if you can’t do it or are lazy. The surf is good and is a great spot to avoid the typical north wind that affects the region.

Lovely beach, but be mindful you park at the top and walk down a fairly long winding road (which you have to go up again).... there is a little buggy system to help those fully laden. At the bottom you can hire boards/wetsuits etc..... and there are toilets and somewhere to buy food and drink. We went as a adult family and had a great day in the sea with one great surfer, and the rest of us learning.... at 56yrs old, with a love of the sea and years of body boarding I decided to join my sons and give it a try.... yep I got up..... result!!!!
