We visited with my Japanese friends. Wine selection is good and I liked the location on the hill. Prices are fairly high befor you buy any of their "sets" make sure to checkout the extensive tasting wine list first! I still prefer Hunter Valley here in Australia but not bad for Japan. :-)

As Kofu is known for their grapes, it is fitting that Suntory began with making wine and chose this area. If you have several hours to spare, there is a local bus that can take you to the winery. The area is simply beautiful and quite peaceful. There are tours offered, wine sampling, and a restaurant.
