Superb skiing and snowboarding. Easy access from Echigo Yuzawa station via free shuttle and directly connected at the top to Gala Yuzawa (buy a 3 mountain pass or pay a ¥2000 supplement if you have a Gala ticket). Well worth exploring on its own with...More

Great snowboard park and there is a half pipe too. The transportation is abit complicated as its mostly local and there are 3 car parks. Though some hotels have shuttle to the first carpark. The middle one has the park.

The Resort is located near the Bullet Train Station, not too big, but big enough and accessible to other ski Resort near by with cable car access or lifts. There were few restaurants to choose from on the resort as well. The quality of the...More

Maybe this oldskool resort is not enough for hardcore adrenaline junkies due to its low altitude and short-ish runs, but for busy urbanites, beginners, improvers and families who are looking for an immersive snow experience with the ease of access and comfort, this resort strikes...More

My friends have been telling me how fun it is to ski in this resort, but after this second time visit, I'm pretty sure that the ski courses here are not my cup of tea. There's not enough snow when we visited in January 2016....More

We visited in February 2016. As other reviewers mentioned, getting to the top is surprisingly convoluted. Go up a lift, ski down, up again, walk uphill--there's a ton of zig zagging that would be solved with one high-speed lift, frankly. The snow was great but...More
