I went on the 1/3.

I was lucky to get a cheap ticket on the Asoview website!
I also got a discount with my Epos card, so I got in for 2,241 yen per person.

It was the New Year's holiday, so it was crowded, and the only seats available at the killer whale stadium were the ones that would get wet 30 minutes before the show started.

By the time it started, everyone was wearing raincoats and the front rows were full.

My 3-year-old was able to get around on his own without a stroller.
On the contrary, the adults were more tired lol

I also drew a killer whale lottery ticket for 1,200 yen, and got the smallest killer whale.
I think it's a very satisfying lottery because even if you get the last place, you can get a cute fluffy stuffed animal.

I'll come again.

I always visit zoo and Sea World in many places. More than getting knowledge, I wish the fee I pay will help the places having income to take good care of the animals they have and help in conservation their species.
For Kamogawa Sea World, overall area is nice. It is located at the beach front so you could walk on the beach from the parking lot. The exhibition and how to present knowledge are good. There are many shows of animal, it is fun to watch. I experienced of taking picture with the smiling seal by purchasing activity ticket after the show. I had lunch at the Restaurant Ocean which there are windows that could see killer whale underwater. It is good experience that I could see how they swim and react to each other.
But I found out from watching them that they were trying to find small piece of fish flowing in the water and eat them. They are hungry. After showing, I saw the whale tried to ask more food from the trainer but he didn't give them. I know that while showing, they will get reward from the trainer and that may cause them to limit their food but it is a kind of forcing and torture them. Seeing them swimming, they were not happy like when they were acting in showing time. In my opinion, just having them for knowledge and raising sense of preservation for visitors but no showing is the best.

After finishing the training visit to the city hall, we entered Sea World, which is attached to the building, where we had lunch. I've been here for a long time, but I didn't watch the show, just walked around outside the building, bought a ridiculously expensive draft beer and a whole roasted squid at the food court, and chatted with my friends. Eating and drinking while looking at the ocean was wonderful, and was the best thing about this trip. It was a Sunday, so there were many families visiting, and everyone looked like they were having fun, which was nice.

The concrete pens weren’t so clean and in my opinion it’s sad to see these cetaceans which were forcefully taken from the wild in Taiji, trained to perform for humans. Some had what appeared to have bruises and were fed dead fish each time they successfully performed a trick. I don’t think I can honestly support such entertainment. But there are families with kids who seem happy enough.

I got soaked by the killer whale's jump, but it was a good memory. I think it's a place that not only elementary school children but also adults can enjoy, but maybe it's not necessary to come just to see the aquarium, which is far away. It was fun, but I didn't really understand the difference between it and other aquariums... Also, it's a shame that you have to pay for parking if you go by car. I got a small discount by paying with my AEON card.

Terrible place to go to - would not recommend it to anyone - consider an alternative activity like an ecofriendly boat tour.

This aquarium, while being one of the only aquariums in Japan to feature orcas (killer whales) is a far cry from the Sea Worlds overseas. The facilities look extremely run down and poorly maintained, the animals seem to have fungal infections and growths on them (even the Sun Fish mascot, in its own private tank, had serious mouth rot), and the food is expensive (as is to be expected I suppose. Never been to a theme park with cheap food.) The drive out from Tokyo is also long and expensive. My advice, skip this one and go to Hakkeijima Sea Paradise instead. Much closer to Tokyo with much better facilities and healthier, happier looking animals.

I was traveling from Kashiwa, with JR pass it was qite easy and cheap, the journey took me aprox. 2,5 hrs. I get off at station Awa-Kamogawa and there I caugth a bus to Sea World which runs every 30 min, and is free. You can´t miss the bus, or be afraid you will not find it, because it has whales pictures on it.
The Sea World is amazing! I was there at Monday - so not so much people was there. You can easily see all atractions in less than 3hrs, Then you can bus some nice souvenirs or have a lunch in some of bistro or restaurants by the ocean with nice view.
About the main attraction - whales - the show is incredible and I can highly recommand to see it twice. Once from the top of arena and once from the buttom. Don´t be silly and buy rain coat! Otherwise you will be completely wet :D Like, totally :D It was more than exciting. Show was great, funny and full of positive energy.

The killer whale show alone will definitely make your ticket all worth it. Such a magical place that will definitely give spectators life lessons on protecting the ocean in general to save and preserve marine animal lives.
