When the light is right (a sunny late afternoon is best), this rock provides a stunning view and photo op from the beach. Well worth a stop!

I never got down to the bottom of the broken porcelain collection on the shore line to the left. It's fenced in and says don't pass. It must have some belief significance. There is the normal tourist shop on site, car park and coach parties.

Staring at it and walking on the rock path into the sea is a lovely peaceful exercise - its also nice to sit on the beach/park, and ring the "lovers" bell that frames the island from the shore.

As written also here, there is no access to island. However, it looks really impressive and if in Noto, stop this beach for a moment. By the way, just 3kms short are Koiji coast. Stones and island telling sad love-story. When here, visit also that.

This area is stunningly beautiful and has a very relaxed "old world" feel about it. It is well worth the effort to visit this area.

In my opinion, the island is the best tourist attraction of Noto Peninsula. The island aka Warship Island really looks like a warship and pretty impressive. Unfortunately, there is no way to get to the island, although you can get close. There is a restaurant...More
