結城の古い街並みの北あたり。大通りから西に参道がつづくます。江戸時代建立の赤い大きな山門があります。本堂は塗り壁と瓦の美しい端正な建物です。案内板によれば、室町時代1371年に結城家八代直光により禅宗の寺として創建された寺院とのこと。

結城市街には結城氏ゆかりの寺がいくつかあって、この寺もその一つ。室町時代に結城家８代直光が創建しています。赤い山門が立派です。
