After enjoying the view from the observation deck of the Eye Link Tower in front of Ichikawa Station, I had some time so I went out and visited this place.

It happened to be the day of the Ichikawa Rose Fair, so the park and the sidewalk in front of the park were full of people!

The colorful roses planted in the fountain square in the park were in full bloom and it was beautiful!

There were 5 or 6 food trucks, so you can enjoy light meals even though the park is small!

They also sold alcohol.

In addition to the food trucks, there were several stores set up by local residents' associations and local companies.

At the shop selling handmade bamboo crafts, bird-shaped bamboo flutes were only 50 yen each!

Even my 2-year-old daughter was very happy to be able to play them easily!

It was surprisingly loud, so it's hard to play it anywhere else, lol, but it was a great item for families with children♩

There was also a mini train that went around the park for small children (100 yen per lap, about 5 minutes).

Also, I bought gluten-free rice flour muffins and baked goods at the Western confectionery shop "Wattan" next to the park entrance, and I was surprised at how delicious the muffins were...♩
It's a hidden shop and I recommend it! (Please note that it seems to be open only a few days.)

One thing to be careful of when going to the Rose Fair is the parking lot.
There is the "Satomi Park Parking Lot" along the river just behind the park, but it was already full on the day.
I was shown to a temporary parking lot, but I had to go behind Wayo Women's University? It's quite a long distance for families with small children...
(The location of the temporary parking lot may change depending on the year of the event)
In the end, my family parked in a paid parking lot (in a residential area) less than 10 minutes walk from the venue.
When going to the Rose Fair, it's a good idea to have an idea of possible paid parking lots in advance!

I sometimes go to Satomi Park for walking in morning. It is usually not so many people, but some friendly cats are there! It has rose garden and wild chrysanthemum garden. When you are lucky, you can see Mt. Fuji beside the Sky tree, TV tower, over the Edo river. No enter fee is required, just for family picnic!

Near the Edogawa river, I have enjoyed cherry-blossons in spring, beautiful roses in May, Fujii flowers around June and it is a good spot for a walking, do exercises in some machines available inside de park.
I've been impressed with the rose garden in special.
