Whilst we didn't stay on this beech we looked over from a height and saw its slender. Not the most used beech, on the day that we looked, so if you fancy a quieter beech this might be a good one for you.

I was disappointed in Main Beach as I expected a little more from an iconic location in Gordon's Bay. It is very exposed to the wind and there is hardly any shelter around.

This beach is warmer than most in Cape Town. It is calm and good for little children. The sand is soft and clean.

Lovely spot out of Cape Town which is more relaxing. Great to walk along the beach. Completely safe - we were never approached by anyone or felt threatened at all although a taxi driver put the fear of god into us with some of his tales!!

This is the largest of the three beaches at Gordon's Bay, but I was surprised at how small it is! Unlike the other two beaches serving the town, there is no shade to be had, and benches are few and far between. My advice therefore would be to resort to sunscreen and Sundays to ensure you don't get fried to a crisp! There is a string of cafes, restaurants and ice cream parlour on the road immediately adjacent to the beach, which is very convenient!

If you want to relax, and walk the beach, and watch the beautiful Sunsets, this is the place to be! The Western side of the Cape is just unbelievably pretty! I want to move there! :)

I travelled here to attend a friends wedding nearby. Great few days just chilling prior to the main event!

The best beach with comparable cold water in cape Town. Waves are also low. Adequate parking. Nice takeaway close by _ trawlers. Interesting tourist shop at beach for toys and shells.
Mountain in background. Worth the drive from cape Town.
