Wonderful blue clear water with great waves, not too crowded and a fantastic little south indian restaurant next to the beach. Dogs allowed in leash. A very pleasant surprise 4 hours drive from Tokyo.

Parking Limited So Get Here Early. Bring drinks and food as restaurants can run out or be expensive. Really calm beach and less crowded than other Shimoda beaches.
