I did not know anything about that place. As I planned my route from Matsusaka to Tokyo I just wanted to take another way, then the one back to Nagoya. So I took the ferry from Toba to Irago, found a nice B&B and was glad, that I chose this place. It seems to be only known to Japanese people... More

Stayed at Maruei bnb for one night over the golden weekend. The guesthouse/ bnb is a macrobiotic farm that prepares its own seasonal menu. The dorm I shared was typical tatami and futon , clean comfortable. The dinner and breakfast meals were excellent. Shame I could only get one night. We spent a few days at Irago Cape, have to say the weather was beautiful and we had a lovely time. There is an excellent cycle path all along the coast, obviously you can rent a bicycle from a hotel or the port - there may be other places too. If you are able to drive then a car will... More
