Seeing the sunset from the roof of the castle was a truly magic experience and the highlight of our tour of Sicily. Carla, enthusiastic volunteer egaged in promoting the place, came and opened the castle just for us and immersed us in the universe of history and legends related to this beautyful place. She accepted nothing in return.

The village of Giuliana is perched on a rock and you can see it from miles away. No wonder Federico II decided to build a castle on this rock. The trip to Giuliana, from whichever road, is impressive and a great part of the fun of the visit. Honestly, the castle is lovely but not one of the greater attractions of Sicily. However, this seemingly forgotten village is a rare gem, it's beautifully compact, the stone with which the houses are made is different from most other villages in the area, it has a sense of isolation and perfection. Very much worth the trip!

On 05/05/2024 we visited Giuliana's castle. Remarkable location, the castle is divinely maintained and our guides, Giuseppe and Carla, were super professional and helped us immerse ourselves in the atmosphere of the place, telling us the history of the place and showing us every nook and cranny. We were thrilled and happy to have been there. Thanks again to Giuseppe and Carla!
