Staying in the Glenesk Hotel, directly opposite the Hall, one can notice the style of building, with its unique frontal clock tower, which rings out the hour, half and quarter hours. It was closed during my visit to the area.

Wonderfully entertaining local drama. Locals very friendly. Wine and soft drinks served before and at half time. Crisps and sweets on the table. Extra bonus at half time hot sausage rolls were served. Beautiful stain glass windows that can tell a story.

Interesting library and well used by locals. Obviously well loved by the village of Edzell and a reminder of how sometimes the local laird in the past did put something back into the community.
