The museum is remote, and simple, a bit expensive (500sh) But to promote its existence it is worth the visit. You will read about the tribes around, insects, birds, see examples of cutlery, jewellery etc.

I visited in September 2015, I asked when they last had a visitor and the reply was 'June'!! However the guide was an anthropologist and had worked at the digs in the North of the Lake.

We were there from the 23rd till the 29th... It was really good and the kids loved it more.... Swimming and fishing in the lake........ Beautiful place.....the locals are very friendly.....

the place can be even a tourism site in Turkana. Why? Because we have a number of volunteering boys who do assist tourists in the site for show offs and good company
