After three weeks in Melaque, we were traveling to Guanajuato. Mex-ECO recommended Alex (Alejandro) Puga. He was awesome. not only incredibly knowledgable in both history and architecture, but able to convey that knowledge in an interesting and captivating manner. If you go to Guanajuato (and environs, like Dolores and San Miguel de Allende), and want to piece it all together,... More

We recently went to Copper Canyon with EcoTours and Dan Patman. It went without a glitch and we enjoyed his good natured but highly organized leadership, wonderful accommodation, excellent food, knowledgable guides, spectacular scenery and no crowds. Can't wait to sign up for another Ecotour adventure! Kathleen Goldstrom

This was a well thought out tour, the train ride, the canyon, hotels, bus transfers were all very well done. The guides were great, they were helpful, informative and a lot of fun. This is definitely a bucket list item! Bring warm clothes, it's cool in the mountains.

The tour guides were excellent, considerate, with a good command of the English language and always attentive. Our tour left us with lots of free time to explore on our own after our tour guides' very impressive knowledge of the city. Over all we had a wonderful trip, with all minor details looked after by this excellent tour company. We... More

I can't say enough about the quality of the tour we had to the Copper Canyon with Dan and Experience Mex-ECO Tours. Everything was coordinated, professional and first class! Can't wait to go again with this great tour company.

We had the absolute best experience with Mex-ECO Tours! They were happy to adjust a tour to fit our needs, and it was an amazing day! Noel was a fantastic tour guide and amigo! On the 4 hour drive from Puerto Vallarta to Magdalena he taught us so much about Mexico and our surroundings. We had interesting conversations and genuinely... More

We took a day trip from Melaque with about 8 others to visit the coffee plantations at Cuzalapa. The drive was around 1.5-2 hours and besides enjoying great vistas as we cross crossed the small mountain range our tour guide Daniel provided a seamless commentary on the ecological and geological highlights as well as providing detailed responses to the many... I have taken several tours with Mex-Eco Tours over the past six years -- Monarch butterflies, Pátzcuaro night of the dead, Guanajuato, the Maya Riviera, Merida, Mexico City, Chiapas, Copper Canyon. On each trip the accommodations have been perfectly suited for the itinerary and the guides have been well-informed and know exactly what we should see. Having a driver who... More

The owners, Ruth and Dan, actually accompanied their tour guides on this tour to the Day of the Dead celebrations in Michoacán, Mexico. Both are not only best friends but are trained in biology and science and came to Mexico to study and work in those fields. They have lived and worked in Mexico for many years and decided to... My husband and I took this tour last week - 3 nights and 4 days This was our first ever bus tour..... The tour was excellent! The company guides, Ruth and Dan had carefully planned a rich and safe trip for us. We learned so much about the cultures and history of Mexico and saw things we could never do... More
