An important experience for me.
Apr 2019
An important experience for me. Good teaching level had some of the best teachers of my life. They could transmit motivation and enlightenment. About the location and accommodation I was really happy, beautiful hall directly on the beach, never wore any flip flop..naked feet for one whole month, nothing better to feel grounded.

The best teachers training experience!
Apr 2019 • Solo
I’m so excited about the Yoga teachers training course I’ve graduated in Yoga Nisarga! Everything was amazing: experienced teachers, yoga Shala, accommodation, food. All the knowledge I’ve got I use with great success at my classes and enjoy practicing it in my own practice. Highly recommend!

I don’t know where to even start with the experience I so gratefully had at Yoga Nisarga. I flew in from the US to learn yoga at its birth place and I never knew how much I was missing in my own practice. An the importance of how to do yoga to have a the full body and spirit experience. Everyone at Yoga Nisarga was absolutely amazing and the humble attitude was contagious, it still lingers with me in my everyday routines. But the learning of myself was even more than I could ever ask for. I learned a lot during this short time and will pass along to my students. Yoga Nisarga is a wonderful and beautiful school it is not in the city which is perfect. I was able to focus, enjoy nature and be friendly with the locals. The large majority of people speak English, which was greatly appreciated. One thing I wish I had brought was my mat they say objects can carry energy and I wish I could have had some for my practice once I was home. Thank you Yoga Nisarga and especially Mr. Hari for teaching me the wonderful path of a yogi 💚💚

Bad experience
Nov 2019
We were three students starting a 200hrs hours YTT at Yoga Nisarga in Goa in November 2019 and made mixed to bad experiences.

The teacher we got was very experienced in traditional yoga. Nice staff was cooking fresh meals for us. The included pickup was well organised. Communication in forfront per mail and whatsapp was good, we always got quick response.

But unfortunately most of our experience were not so good.

Communication at the yoga place was less, especially about the structure of our teacher training. Hari, the head of the yoga nisarga business wasn't at the place to welcome us. In the introduction we were just told about rules, but nothing about the teacher training and the teacher didn't share any details about himself. We felt not really welcomed, the atmosphere was cold and the rules strict.
None of the yoga teachers shown on the website was teaching there anymore. The teacher we got, who should teach all of the lessons was also new to this place. Additionally there was a volunteer, who has been a yoga teacher for one year.

We didn't receive the schedule before midday of the first day, however, as we got it, it was not matching with the lessons we had.

We got second hand manuals with handwritten notes from former students in it. As he had none for himself he had to take mine and I couldn't follow properly nor making notes in my manual.

Before lunchtime we were informed, that one of us had to teach one lesson in the afternoon. But we didn't know, that he expected us to do a 90minutes lesson until one of us started with teaching. Meanwhile the teacher was doing his own workout next to us. We were very surprised that the teacher was expecting so much at the first day with this kind of austerity. We felt not comfortable at all and really distressed. It pushed us to our limits.

The teacher was very dogmatic in his opinions and tought a traditional way of yoga. At the beginnig and the end of every lesson, practice and theory, we had to sing a long mantra multiple times. Also there was a lack of clarity in his explanations. His understanding of yoga felt weird to us. In the first theory lesson the told us that doing yoga can lead us to earn millions of dollars. Even though there are examples of rich yoga gurus, it was not, what we expected in the first lesson.

Also none of the pictures on the homepage showed, how the place in goa looked. The pictures are probably all taken in Bali or Thailand. There was said to be a garden at the yoga place in goa, but there was none. The whole appearance of the homepage did mislead our expectations.

We had a talk with the owner and the teacher and discussed our experiences. In the discussion the teacher mentioned that he didn't recognise our discomfort at all. Our feeling was that no one did really care about our wellbeing. As a lot of aspects came together, the three of us decided to drop out the YTT. We got back the bigger part of the amount we payed, although everyone of us lost the 300€ deposit, which was not refundable. We felt the necessity to drop out, because the refund was only possible within the first three days. At the moment of our dropout it has already been the second day of our stay.

Even if I would have come to this place without any expectations, I would have been displeased by what I experienced. We left looking for a better place, feeling less focused on business and money, but more on yoga and the human being.

Namaste Rebecca, We feel wholeheartedly sorry for your dissatisfying experience at Yoga Nisarga. It all happened because the head of Yoga Nisarga Hari had to go to visit Thailand to handle an emergency situation. As a coincidence, another lead teacher had left us a week back, as he had to attend to his family for 2 weeks. For your batch, we had arranged the other instructor Arvind by looking at his promising profile from his impressive education and experience.  Arvind had already completed two batches prior to you. However, with your batch, he didn't have good communication. I regret that he could not establish a good rapport with you. Possibly, he had a rigid style of teaching and interacting with students that did not go well with your expectations. Also, Hari himself completely agrees that it must have been shocking for you that the instructor made you teach for 1.5 hours on the first day itself. Hari had clarified it to you that he was also surprised at this and this is not the system at Yoga Nisarga. We found that most of your comments about the teacher are justified, and we had immediately terminated him without giving it a second thought.  You are our international guests and we regret the inconvenience caused to you. The delay in the course schedule happened only because Hari had to leave in an emergency and he made immediate arrangements for teachers. About the location, our Goa-based Yoga center is very beautiful, ideally suited for Yogic practices. It is next to a forest and hill and is within 15 minutes of walk to the beach. We can understand that within 2 days of that unfortunate experience, you were not able to explore the location and the quality of course that we offer. We do understand how you felt; it was not at all your fault, you got a bad first impression and we take responsibility for this. When you decided to discontinue the course, we did our best by apologizing and refunding your course fee amount as per our standard policy. In place of the non-refundable amount of 300 Euros, we are pleased to extend an offer to you. On your next visit to India, please do visit Yoga Nisarga and you will avail 4 days of free food and accommodation. In these 4 days, you can observe and participate in the training. Our intention is to welcome you to experience our training procedure in terms of dedication and authenticity.  Our intake of international trainees is limited to 10 only so that we can focus on quality and provide individual attention. For this reason, we limit our teaching staff to 4 or 5. We are very conscious about hiring a spiritually inclined Yoga teacher. We ask all our new teachers to volunteer for one month and we observe his/her teaching quality, spiritual depth, and overall dedication. We understand that international trainees come to India by investing a lot of money and time for a special reason. They have a quest for exploring the inner depths of human existence. You are not just trainees; you are seekers looking for unique experiences. We are glad that you found a teacher training course elsewhere and must have received those spiritual experiences. We wish you bliss and success in this spiritual journey that you have undertaken. Namaste, Subhash Yoga Nisarga Family

I'm so disappointed
Dec 2019 • Solo
I qualified as a yoga instructor 2 years ago with different school in Thailand and had an amazing experience. I've never had an intention to teach yoga, I just wanted to educate myself about yoga, learn the right way of doing asanas, get inspired and meet likeminded people. This year I've decided to do it again to refresh my memory, get back on track and to get new experience from different yoga school.
Unfortunately I wasn't as lucky this time as the training with Nisarga and particularly with Hari the founder was not very good. I was drawn to Nisarga by its good marketing and professionally done website which  promised me an extraordinary experience in my yoga journey. After just a couple of days of yoga practice and theory lessons I realised what I had signed up to . I had to withdraw myself from training as Hari's lessons and instructions were poor and unclear. He was completely inadequate. The quality of yoga and teaching were appalling. I'd like to pinpoint other faults, these include Hari's poor listening skills, lack of experience teaching yoga, disrespect, unpunctuality and his complete lack of teaching skills. There are lots of lies on website regarding his yoga background. There are also misleading information about some western female teacher and other teachers who we never  met as all the training was delivered by Hari and his assistant, Ankit. I lost lots of money paying for this training, accommodation and the flight so consider that I was cheated and robbed. The man who is responsible for this is director of Nisarga Hari , who is a complete faker.

Dear Elena, We regret that you felt disappointed with our training. However, it's our understanding that we definitely do not deserve this highly critical review. Let us explain. The course was of 22-day duration and you left after completing only one and a half days. In such a short time of the introductory phase, you did not get even a glimpse of the course, and you made up your mind against us. The Yogic and universal wisdom says that if you want to learn, you need to become a student first and be ready to accept and not to expect. However, you already had certain expectations from the course, based on your prior experience with Yoga Teaching. Its good that you wanted to deepen your knowledge despite being already a qualified Yoga instructor, however, you came with an expectation, rather than acceptance. When you go with pre-defined expectations, your mind is bound to conflict with what is offered to you, because every teacher has his own style, his strong points, and weak points. Let us give you an example. As you are a massage therapist, let's assume you offer one hour massage. Now, imagine a customer comes to you and wants to gain the whole experience of massage in a quick massage of only one and a half minutes. Do you think, in such a short span of time, he will get a true insight into the quality of massage? We should understand that every process has a simple beginning, then a detailed procedure followed by a final ending. You stayed with us only for one and a half days, instead of 22 days. It takes 3-4 days to adjust to a new atmosphere, interact with the group and understand the group's energy. You did not go through that transition phase. As you already have teacher training experience, however, other students were beginners, the teacher has to satisfy students of all levels. Possibly, you should have gone for an advanced teacher training course, a 300-hour course. You also mentioned about lies on our website. We are doing authentic work and we do not need the support of fake experiences for promoting our work. Its an open world, the teachers keep on changing places, so, you might not find the same teachers who worked with us in the past. Also, we keep on shifting the teachers in our 3 different locations, India, Thailand, and Bali. However, we always ensure that our teachers are well qualified, authentic, dedicated and experienced. Also, as per our standard policy, we do not entertain refunds, however, we refunded you the amount you deserve. We have shared what we feel about your review. We certainly do not agree with it. Have a wonderful spiritual journey ahead. Warm Regards Ankit Yoga Nisarga Family

Chantainya the Director is very welcoming, incredible teacher and lovely human. The school has the most beautiful yoga shala that I have ever seen (and I live in Bali hahaha) it's all surrounded by outstanding nature. I can't wait to go back and give them a visit. Transformative experience
Feb 2019 • Solo
My time at Yoga Nisarga was life-affirming. It was a transformative, invigorating, and unforgettable experience. As prepared as I was for this immersive experience, I was simultaneously unprepared for just how much this training would shake me to my core, and I mean that in the best way possible! The environment and training center were warm, welcoming and comfortable, everything you would hope for when you're so far from home. The facility itself and the diet were conducive to our growth and learning as well. I'm actually missing the food so much that I'm trying to recreate it at home. The most notable thing worth mentioning is the instructors. They, and the curriculum, were so facilitative of our growth and learning. Hari and Bharath were extremely patient and compassionate with us throughout the process. The level and depth of their knowledge was incomparable to any program I could have found in the US. I spent time not only learning and expanding my knowledge, but unlearning bad habits and clarifying misconceptions about yoga. I truly feel that this experience has provided me with the tools to make a difference in the practices and lives of others, my own practice, and my relationship with myself. In a word, this YTT was inspiring. As our instructors warned us, it's easy to adopt these practices for a month when that is what your entire days revolve around. It takes self-discipline to continue incorporating these practices after the training. But most importantly, if you have inspiring enough teachers, you'll feel so changed and moved after the trip that you'll do anything to keep the momentum going from the training so as to not lose the magical feeling that the training left you with.

200 hr YTT
Feb 2019 • Business
My experience at Yoga Nisarga was profound. The curriculum was challenging, the teachers were compassionate and kind (hi Bharath & Hari!), the food was incredible and the overall environment was well suited for growth, both as a Yoga instructor and a person.

This experience was particularly special due to the way my classmates and I were able to engage with each other, ourselves, and our teachers. Hari and Bharath provided a wealth of knowledge that laid the foundation for exceptional teaching skills. I came away from this YTT changed in whole and am so grateful I chose this program. I highly recommend this course to anyone who is interested in growing to learn about themselves and yoga.
