Drive along the A95 at Craigellachie, near to Abelour in Scotland and you catch a glimpse of the original bridge over the River Spey that Thomas Telford designed and started building in 1812. Find somewhere safe to park (the A95 is a busy road) and...More

Situated just of the A95 in a very picturesque part of Speysiide it is well worth taking the time to pull over and enjoy this world famous bridge. The bridge can be viewed from the bank of the River Spey. It is also accessible for...More

We walked along the Spey after dinner (at the Copper Dog) and stumbled across the Telford Bridge. It's a little bit of engineering history tucked away where most would miss it. We especially enjoyed walking along the river Spey near the bridge

A beautiful bridge, a stunning bridge, a timeless bridge. But still, just a bridge. Pop over and have a look if in the area.

Not sure how you write a review for a bridge. It is one of those attractions that is better looking from a distance than from close up. The best picture is obtained from the nearby road bridge.

We made a special journey to see this bridge and its certainly worth it. The Spey is deep under the middle of the bridge, I believe its known as the Bridge Pool. We saw an angler up to his chest enjoying the fishing. Quiet and...More

So worth a visit. Trying to get your head around the fact that people drived lorries around the tight curve after the bridge is staggering. The views from there are worth the millage. Also close by you have the Highlander Inn and the Craigellachie Hotel....More
