A very windy Sunday visit but still stunning. Pay as you leave carpark that has access to toilets. Ramp and steps down to the sand. Bin's available for your rubbish.

Portreath is set in a lovely little bay, the view is stunning and the light nearly as good as that of St Ives. We went in February, luckily the weather was mostly bright, very litlle rain and, at times, extremely windy. The latter only added...More

We stayed in Portreath for five days in September and what a lovely time we had. The beach was perfect for us, especially with a young toddler. Gorgeous sandy beach, caves to wander into, surfers to watch and seals to spot. Cafe, pubs, parking and...More

Excellent sandy beach which was uncrowded even at half term! Great for boarding / surfing and usual seaside activities with car park, loos, surf shop as well as several cafe's, pubs and restaurants / takeaways right next door.

Really great beach. Sandy, rock pools, caves to explore and loads of places nearby to eat or have a coffee. Paid for parking with plenty of free on street parking available up the hill. WC’s nearby. Dog friendly October to Easter.

Dogs are banned from 7am to 7pm but if you go up the road to Godrevy you can walk them any time on the far beach which looks across the bay to St. Ives. And it’s gorgeous!

Yes this is a sandcastle beach, there are some pebbles but few & far between, a few pebbles look good put on the side of sandcastles so that's a bonus.☺☺
