From Devoran to Portreath on the Coast to Coast. It was quite busy when we were here on Tuesday. The whole trial is unscenic and boring in my opinion. It's such a slog to cycle it. The path near the Bissoe bike hire is rocky,...More

Cycled the mineral tramway from Portreath to Devoran at the beginning of October. A superb trail through picturesque countryside with only short stretches on quiet country roads. It gave us an insight into the history of Cornish mining and the people who toiled underground! Lots...More

Whilst practising for an overseas bike trip in warm weather , we picked an amazing day to get such practice. In temperatures of about 25c we cycled from Devoran to Portreath and back stopping at Bon Apetit on the way back. Great ride, and fairly...More

What an experience. We hired two bikes from Mountain Bike Hire Cornwall in Portreath , which is a great locally owned business that is in the far right hand corner of the beach car park. For £25 we hired 2 bikes with helmets, pumps, repair...More

We researched the route and happily commenced the ride from Devoran believing it was a lovely flatish ride. The terrain was varied and whilst there were no major hills there were a few 'slopes'. We found the surface of the path unexpectedly challenging in places...More

A good and slightly challenging cycle (for the inexperienced cyclist). 12 miles each way along a well-signposted and mostly flat route. We rented mountain bikes (and I do recommend something sturdier than a road bike) in Portreath for £15 each, and then followed the granite...More

Portreath to Deveron cycle route, well signed and mainly off-road, a little muddy in places depending on the weather but mainly compacted or asphalt. Café and Bike repairs/hire at Bissoe. Slightly easier from Deveron. Car Parking available at either start.

We really loved riding this trail, coast to coast. It was well signposted the whole way, although we got in a pickle in the middle at the roundabout but mostly because some people tried to direct us the wrong way to the pub carpark. You...More

Great views and a very quiet track when we did this. Free parking at either Portreath or Devoran if you avoid car parks. Gentle ascent make this an easy ride for all, its mainly off road so you will need a robust tyre for stones...More
