I won't say it's a worthwhile visit. But with only an hour or two without any plans, Morris & James Handmade Pottery will definitely be a good place to go to in this area. If the time is right, a guided tour might even be available. (Check beforehand for time.) If someone in the group is not interested in staying... More

As we are from the South Island this was a first visit. Loved the variety and bright colours. Can see why it's a popular place to visit. We didn't eat here but the cafe looked very inviting. I would recommend this to anyone driving in the area, it really is a destination on its own. Fabulous pottery!

I love this place and this was my third visit - deliberately went this time so I could go on the factory tour. Lovely set up and very nice coffee shop. Great pottery and my friend spend some serious money on Ian's lovely houses. Would love some big pots but frost may get them in The UK. Vibrant beautiful colours.... More

Good quality pottery, especially as that was a range of seconds in the products we were interested in.

We enjoyed the displays, products, creative, and the generosity of the owner to allow visitors to get into the insightful site. Food at cafe was awesome from light to fine dining was fabulous. Thanks for the hospitality offered.

Called in to have lunch after looking through the shop full of beautiful pieces of pottery.Well worth a look at. Lunch was nice, light and fresh and lovely young staff members. Had a seat under the vines out of the full sun, superb way to spend a Saturday afternoon with friends and a glass of wine.

We called in here on a visit from Australia after a friend recommended it, so glad we did. Beautiful pieces and really lovely helpful staff. I chose a couple of pieces that they bubble wrapped and gift wrapped beautifully and my husband was delighted as that's his Christmas shopping done.
