As an optional part of a tour to Chopin's birthplace in Zelazowa Wola, I went to visit this absolutely beautiful piece of local history. It is, of course, about much more than Chopin's baptism. The architecture is renaissance with hints of late gothic. It was destroyed during WWI because it was on the front between the Russians and Germans. Rebuilt durung tge unter-war period with the help of Paderewski the pianist and statesman, it undwrwent a very serious interior renovation in 2010 to celebrate Chopin's 200th birthday. A pleasing place to visit.

Unusual church, with some defensive features, including three high towers. Best to be seen from the west, from the Bzura river, where the church reflects in oxbows. Built in mid 16th century largely damaged during WWI, when war front line run along Bzura, just at the back of the church. A bit earlier, in early 19th century, Polish composer Fryderyk Chopin's parents got married in the church, and then Fryderyk himself was baptised here. Right in front of the church one of the main trails in Puszcza Kampinoska (Kampinos Forest) has it's starting point.
