Western Coast of India (15 Days)

The western coast of India is located between Kerala and Gujarat and extends from the Arabian Sea to the Western Ghats. Its total length is 1400 km, width ranges from 10 km to 80 km, and the elevation ranges from 150 m to 300 m above sea level. It is characterized by sandy beaches, mud-flats, sand-dunes, alluvial tracts, estuaries, lagoons, residual hills and more. It lacks deltas as the short and swift rivers are not able to make deltas in this coast.

Visited both in morning and evening. It's clean and good water sports. Nice veg and sea food available near by. We explored two entries to the beach, one has car parking area and sport and eatery near by.

It was a cheerful, active and interesting beach and invited us to spend maximum time specially in the early hours and around sun set in the evening. The close proximity to our resort was an added benefit as we could easily spend plenty of time just strolling on the beach with bare feet or enjoying a fun filled ride on a high speed boat. The cheerful and spirited people on the crowded beach made it all the more attractive. It was fun to just gaze at the setting sun, click photos and watch the horses run at great speed or watch the banana boat speed up as the waves lashed against its surface. The beach was a nice getaway after a hectic day in the sun as we explored the city.

Wonderful clean beach..... the tide was high in the evening while in the morning it’s generally a low tide and the sea seems to move away from you, the beach is of black sands like that of its neighbouring beaches. The soothing sea makes Kashid an ideal location for all visitors. There is enough parking space , paid toilets for both gents and ladies and snack stalls... though most of the stalls were closed ... may be due to the pandemic. The best part is the night view of the beach- the sea water here is full of phytoplankton that releases the light stored in it at night giving a magical green fluorescent color to the waves... it’s really breathtaking moment to visualise this (sorry I couldn’t capture this with my mobile camera) !!

Lovely beach and very friendly people. We stayed at ManoMani Cottage, owners are very nice people and they offered us such a homely experience. The house is clean and view is also nice. Loved the stay!

Very dirty.. you cant even dip your feet in that water. Go to Kashid or murud beach. So we went by car ..there is place to park but the bathing stalls etc are super dirty.
