I don't like Alibaug Beach, the beach is in the heart of the city, if you like watersports, this is the beach you visit

The Alibag beach is a wonderful beach to have a bath when the tides turn towards the beach. It’s like a long swimming pool and quite shallow to enjoy a good time with family and friends. One caveat though the colour of the water may not be too pleasing to the eyes.

There is ample paid parking unless it’s a weekend or holiday. During high tides you should take w boat to Kolaba fort from here. During low tide you can hire a horse cart and go. The beach was clean and maintained when we visited.

Try and stay for the sunset which is wonderful & it’s worth a view to spend some time and relish as the sun sets in the silhouette behind the Kolaba fort

Alibaug beach, the Capital town of Raigad district.

Famous for its Colaba fort, generically called as Alibag Fort.

Hosts horse baggi ride and ATV rides on the beach, sunset seems to be the peak popular point of this destination.

There was high tide when i visited the beach. The boating facility looked fussy. There were food stalls, dirt bikes. No quality stalls

I stay in city of dreams- Mumbai. So, beach life is my oxygen but since most of Mumbai's beaches are occupied, I decided to try out Alibaug beach. Just go to gateway of India, take a catamaran and travel to Mandwa jetty in about 45 minutes. From there, the same catamaran guys provide you a free bus up to Alibaug. You can either go to Varsoli beach from there or to Alibaug beach itself. Therefore, if you decide to go to Alibaug beach, the expect Mumbai with no pollution.

Alibaug beach offers all the rides, horse, camel and many more. Enjoy water sports and have a lot of fun. You can also eat bhel puri and pani puri. Local beach shops offer goodies.

People here are aggressive. They are rude and obnoxious. Please be careful they will fleece you. Alibag has the most terribly maintained beaches and would never recommend this place to anyone.
