The sunset

Great sunset not as exciting as the white sand dunes but worth the stop just for the sunset and it's not a to much of a walk the kids can slide down the sand dunes lots of fun

Beautiful view of mui ne town. This place is popular amongst the younf kids for the plastic slides. Plastics slides are good.

Another must do in Mui Ne. Instead of booking a tour, we decided to hire a motorbike and make our own way to the dunes, which were about 10mins from our AirBnB, Papaya. The best time to see the dunes is at sunset - just make sure you give yourself enough time to get there and find a good viewing... More

Not as good as the white but still well worth a visit. Take water man, it's hot up there. It wants a hundred characters but I'm out.

We stayed at the Sandunes resort in Mui Ne so it was only a ten min walk to the red sand dunes. We walked over twice - the first time we were able to see the sunset, the second time it was too cloudy but we simply we over for a walk on the dunes. If you stay nearby I... More

In Muine you can choose trip for half day, Morning or afternoon. In my opinion, afternoon trip is better than. you can see Sun Set on red sand dunes. That's very nice view!!

Peaceful and serine place for the sunset. There are still many places to get away from the crowds, close to the road and in the trees is full of TP and the associated poop, so I would avoid that area. Nothing like the cleanliness and protections of Dunghuang in the Gobe. But still worth the few minutes out of town.

Yes, there are red dunes in Vietnam. Located next to the white sand dunes. As the white dunes, the red dunes are not a "must-see"-place, but if you are in Mui Ne, why not go there. Not a fun-and-action-area like the white dunes, but they are nice to visit.
