Liked the comical and adorable wild Albino donkeys, wild horses and goats. The rocky and flower filled landscape was unique. Take a 4 WD tour about 50 euro each for 4-5 hours English speaking guides available. Nothing to dislike here, but pack a lunch as their is only 2 snack bars.

Asinara is fascinating if you are interested in nature and history but be prepared to spend a lot more money than you would on the mainland for the equivalent facilities. Since we didn't want to be packed into a Land Rover for the group tour, we hired an electric golf cart at Cala Reale but it cost €100 for 24... More

We took a tour on one of 4x4 Defenders and it's been pretty good. But pretty expensive. I think this is still slightly overpriced but if money is not a huge issue for you it's well worth the time.

Asinara National Park is really nice island to see (great to visit when it is a little cloudy). You can book the guidance with Land Rover (50e) and see the whole island in one day (Giuliana was just perfect guide!). Bikes are also available there (15 or 20e per day). the island has unique vegetation and beautiful nature. I can... More

We booked a jeep tour with Asinaraland (for € 50,- each). The tour started at 8.30 and ended at 17.00h. We took the boat from Stintino to the island (included). On the boat, we met our amazing guide Vera. In 20 minutes we arrived on the Island. Our guide was driving the jeep and told us a lot about the... More

Any visit to this beautiful, untouched corner of Sardinia requires the jeep tour to do the area justice. No point pootling around on the model railway. Get in the jeep and see the sights. It's a bumpy, shoogly, occasionally uncomfortable but endlessly rewarding way of engaging first hand with the idyllic island of Asinara. The day we went the crossing... More

We took a full day tour in April - spring time and it was very pretty. The euphorbia bushes were magnificent. We saw the white donkeys and the goats, the old buildings are very atmospheric. A wonderful visit to the centre for studying bird migration topped off a great day with Anna Lisa from AsimarAvventura We were offered an English version... More

I took a bus tour to Asinara from Alghero and after sailing across to the island, the next part of the adventure was a small electric train travelling all over the island. It was wonderful to see but I wished I had some idea what was going on. I know us English speakers are used to the world at hour... More

We arrived here not really knowing what to expect but was hoping to get a glimpse of the albino donkeys. We decided to take a tour on the buggy which was quite pricey 25 euros per person but it did take a couple of hours and the guide was fantastic, we even got to see the albino donkeys so was... More
