A lovely little town. We were there in January, and it was a mild, sunny day. It's a very pleasant walk along the seaside promenade, along to Aci Castello, and back to Aci Trezza.
It was always a wish of ours to visit here, after seeing "La Terra Trema." The town lived up to what we hoped it would be. The church that features in the film, is still there, and the famous rocks off the coastline still instantly recognizable. The people were friendly, and proud of their town. Unfortunately, we just missed seeing the small museum, which is closed from 12;30, to 4 pm. We wanted to find out more about the film, and cast. If "Ntoni" is still alive, he must be in his 90s by now.
I highly recommend Aci Trezza.

A few minutes from Catania, with roads in terrible conditions and traffic like the Wild West, I discovered a nice little place, alas, as pointed out by the reviews that precede me, the care and valorisation of the territory do not seem to be important and we find ourselves faced with a scenario already seen, the beautiful kept badly.
Having said that, during my little trip to Sicily I had the opportunity to be in the area for a few days, enjoying fantastic views and meeting warm people. In the days that lead from August to September it wasn't very dirty, but in any case the carelessness of the place is evident.
Perhaps already a nice car-free pedestrian area and a pinch of make-up and wig would make this dusty little gem with the dented box shine. Still worth at least a visit if you are nearby

Lovely seaside town about a one-hour bus drive from Catania (1€ per ride). A great place to relax, walk, swim, or have a nice meal or drink. There is no proper or sandy beach, just stone blocks to lay on, alos the access into the water is an awkward bit there is a swimming club with platforms and a swimming pool for better comfort. I recommend taking an easy walk along the sea to Aci Castello.

The stay in Aci Trezza was short but I found the town quite nice and enjoyable for an evening. There are places where you can eat and very beautiful points of interest such as the Faraglioni or the Cyclops Islands. If you are in the area in the summer, I recommend going there.

Reading certain comments I was expecting a disaster. Acitrezza is a splendid and perfectly kept place. After spending the morning in Catania, we came for a tour of the Cyclops stacks: splendid. There are elegant bars, a beautiful seafront to walk on, many benches to sunbathe and even some brave people swimming. How badly haters live.

On our first visit to Catania, my wife and I took a hop on/hop off bus trip from Catania to Aci Trezza and back. We strolled along the waterfront for about an hour till we arrived in Aci Trezza. The sea was lovely but other than a few little outcrops of rock, it didn't come across as being anything particularly special

What a pity... We got to know that this territory of sea is polluted articolo/64407/mare-tutti-i-divieti-di-balneazione-nel-2018-le-spiagge-dove-non-si-potra-fare-il-bagno/
The same with Catania beach...
I hope somebody will figure out how to save this beautiful place from drowning in feces... it is very sad...

This small Italian seaside town is worth seeing. The rocks are mesmerising and are enchanting no matter the weather. A good selection of restaurants.

We thought it was reasonably priced but more for the locals than tourists.
