We have just come from a very unpleasant visit to the Silent Pool Distillery where the first greeting was not to park our car on the property and that even the staff couldn’t park on site (which given they would be there for hours as...More

There may not be loads to see here, but the tour is really interesting and the story well told. Plus there’s lots of delicious gin to drink. What fun

Really enjoyed the Tour. Paul was very knowledgeable and interesting. There was lots of samples too! Tonic mixers were available too. Special mention to Alex and V from the shop! You get a £5.00 voucher each to spend in the shop.

Fascinating Tour of the distillery and more than enough tasting. Tour Guide Tory from California especially good and knowledgeable. Highly recommended. Combine it with a walk in the beautiful Surrey Hills by Newlands Corner and a meal in Shere

I was disappointed not to have more to drink - the samples were quite small, and there was no tonic mixer. However, it was interesting to learn about the gin-making process and the guide was most professional. He seemed a particular hit with the ladies.

Will had an interesting and informative visit in a damp Sunday morning and despite being only 11:30 the gin tasters were great. Our guide Lydia was funny, engaging and well knowledgable about Gin and the history of the small business in Shere as well as...More

Excellent tour from Lydia. Tour takes 1.5 hours but was interesting, funny and very worthwhile. Gins are fantastic, as expected, and their new Vodka is just as good. Would recommend to anyone.

We've done a few Gin Tours now and Silent Pool is our favourite craft gin anyway, so we had high expectations but they were all met. Hamish was a fantastic guide, so knowledgeable and clearly so very passionate about his work. We learnt a lot...More

This is an excellent insight into the making of Silent Pool gin, from how the brand came to life, how the flavours are created to how the gin is made. It concludes with gin tasting - great fun! Hamish, our distiller, was very knowledgeable and...More

I’m not a gin drinker but I have to say I left the distillery a lot wiser to both the manufacture and history of this remarkable drink which went out of fashion as “mothers ruin” and is currently undergoing a massive revival. You tend to...More

At the Distillery itself, a bottle costs £37 but if you're there on one of their tours they give you a £5 discount voucher. Suspect it's probably cheaper to buy at Waitrose, who stock it.

You get to try quite a number of gins, but in small doses and I got to the point when I didn’t drink the whole taster. All of the group that we were with drove home.
