We dropped by at Yaxcopoil as part of a day trip out of Mérida to Uxmal and cenotes. Unfortunately our schedule did not allow for an in-depth visit. An appreciation of the henequén fiber industry is almost as important to understanding Yucatán history as that of the Mayan
