Magnificent views in every direction. Wear comfortable shoes as there is a lot of walking & many steps. The walk to Diaz beach is also a must! It’s a breathtaking beach. Make a stop at the two oceans restaurant, it’s simply sublime with views to...More

A private tour, 4 of us. Went with African Eagle company. Sha, our driver/guide was great. Lots of info and he knew where to stop to get the best views and gave us info on whether to take the funicular or walk, etc.

Worth the walk or ride to the top. If you ride up you will still have to walk up a bit but not bad. Great views from the lighthouse. I would also recommend the hike to the new lighthouse, as well.

It is worth the effort to hike up, or take the cable car and climb the last steps to get up to the wonderful views. I would also recommend the hike to the new lighthouse, as well.

Interesting place to go barren and windy but a real rugged beauty. Small 'museum' that gives a good insight to the place. Strangely saw a couple of ostriches there. Definitely worth a visit if just to say that you have been there.

The walk to the lighthouse is definitely worth it. The view is wonderful. There are different kinds of trails depending on your will.

I conducted a tour which was requested for trip advisor more than 2 months ago and although they ask payment to guests upfront, they come up with all sorts of reasons not to pay the guides, who actually do the work, spend resources money ,...More

One of the most beautiful places you will ever visit in addition to its historical value. You can opt to walk all the way or take the fun ride on the funicular and then walk a much shorter ride to the top. The lighthouse itself...More

On our tour of the Cape Peninsula, we stopped at the Cape Point Light House. It is a working light house. In order to get to the light house, we rode the Flying Dutchman Funicular. Once the funicular got to the end of its line,...More

We had a hire car and drove ourselves. Using a tourist map it’s easy to navigate this area as it’s well signposted. If you prefer a tour there are any number available which you can search and book online or phone.
