This is a remarkable waterfall -- size, setting, power are all wows. Great free access, with walkable paths (some stairs) leading to multiple viewing levels and angles. It's impressive. The drive out to it is full of great landscapes, which helps pass the time. It...More

This waterfall is a must stop on the Golden Circle. It has a few different walking paths to see various angles of the waterfall. It is impossible to see from one position. Rainbows appear to be common given the number of photos I've seen with...More

A very large waterfall and you can get really close. We used the upper parking area and walked down the path to the viewpoints. The rocks and trail can be slippery at times. The viewpoints can get you very close, so be prepared to get...More

What a sight these water falls are! Similar experience to visiting Niagara Falls. Great walking paths and viewing platforms with varying views of the falls. Nice gift shop in the visitor center.

Amazing views and awesome falls. You can walk down several levels and even out on the edge. It was cold and the water spray made it colder. Probably nicer in the warmer months, nice gift shop.

My family and I visited Gullfoss as part of our Gateway to Iceland Golden Circle tour. Upon arrival there are three vantage points to view from, all of them giving a totally new perspective. The waterfall is breathtaking, and photos just don’t do it justice,...More

First off, this is a very powerful waterfall, very dramatic with the roar of the water and the incessant mist getting you a bit wet as you get closer. It's not a tall waterefall, there are very nice walking paths to get a couple of...More

Powerful double waterfall. Good Facilities, gift shop and restaurant. Rest rooms outside cost, inside ones are free. Not as good as Niagara or Yosemite but good for Iceland!

I didn't know what to expect, but I was in awe of this waterfall. Everyone goes to the Golden Circle and there are so many tours, I assumed it would be just another site on the route, but this blew my mind. It was COLD...More
