A very interesting historic site with Italian as well as English signs and information boards.Rarely busy even in peak season, even at the weekend. The tombs are also quite cool inside, giving some respite from the sum. Admission is cheap, you can get a joint...More

This was one of our favorite sites visited. Less well tended than Tarquinia, but more interesting to visit due to the various forms of the tombs and the fact you can walk into them.

In the middle of nowhere a pearl of Etruscan heritage. We've visited many sites, this is one of the most impressive ones. Bit shabby trail markings that need maintenance but you can easily find your way. Tip: take plenty of water as even in July...More

Our cousins, who live in Rome, took us here for part of a day and we really enjoyed it and were amazed at the sophistication of the structures and art of the Etruscan culture. As suggested in one of the other reviews, make sure to...More

Very suggestive and interesting place. I recommend wearing comfortable clothes and shoes as you walk a lot on dirt trails. The tombs are many and varied. Even the museum in the center of Cerveteri is beautiful and contains special exhibits.

Hopping off an Atlantic crossing plane with no sleep, picking up a car and driving to Necropoli della Banditaccia is not highly recommended as a way to start one's Italian excursion but this was our beginning nonetheless. It was either that or missing the site...More

I found this Etruscan necropolis to be incredible. If you are fascinated by the Forum or the Palatine Hill in Rome, you’ll likely find the necropolis a special place as well. The visit really peaked my interest in learning more about their culture. As a...More

Spent a couple of hours walking around the extensive sight. Definitely worth watching the short video to give some background information to appreciate the ingenuity of this pre-roman civilization. There are plenty of tombs to explore but would not recommend visiting if you have mobility...More

Entering tombs made to resemble homes is fascinating. The Etruscan are amazing, we - Roman- owe so much to them. We absorbed all the best aspects of their civilization since we were ruled by etruscans kinks 26 hundreds years ago. The Etruscan respect nature, their...More

Hi. From the Cereteri station you'll find some bus for the necropolis. This is the cheapest way but the most complicated. Ask for a taxi in the station, is the easiest. Franco
