A local restaurant owner suggested strongly that we seem out the war cemetery. We are glad we did. It is a simple and moving tribute to the fallen from the Malayan, Indian and British/Australian forces who served in WW2.

It was a very nostalgic visit to the war cemetery to look at the names of all the fallen heroes who gave their lives in the defense of our country. A visit recommended for the younger generation as it will be a walk down history.
This was my third visit to Taiping War Cemetery, the first time in 1964 and again 10years ago.
I was very impressed how the local team are maintaining the cemetery as it is still as good as when I first visited.

A well tended War Cemetery that is worth a look around. The graves relate to Allied troops, killed during the Second World War, mostly in the Malayan campaign. A high proportion of the graves relate to unidentified men, which makes it more poignant.
And remember the dead heroes buried here in Taping many miles from their original homes.
A lovely location despite the fact that a road cuts through the middle of the cemetery.
