Falls were quite slow running (no rain for a while) but still a worthwhile place to take in the scenery. Both viewpoints easy to get too from the car park. More strenuous walks to the bottom of the falls if you want to. Would be...More

Always lovely to visit the Gold Coast Hinterland where it’s green everywhere and 5-10 degrees cooler than tropical Brisbane. My 11 yr old son and I were on a bushwalking and rock hunting field trip and the route to Purling Brook Falls didn’t disappoint. A...More

We visited Purling Brook Falls earlier this week, but never saw them. As we were about to take the path down to the falls, my wife caught her foot on a slight raise in the pavement. She fell flat on her face onto concrete. She...More

Purlingbrook Falls drop 150 metres or so down a sheer, in parts overhanging, cliff into a rainforest gorge. You can get a good view from the car park and the viewing areas at the top, but best of all is to do the circuit trail,...More

In less than an hour, you can be on a Gold Coast beach then immersed in nature hiking some of the most picturesque landscapes the Gold Coast Hinterland has to offer. Once you go past Mudgeeraba, it's a 40-minute drive in the country, windy roads,...More

What a fabulous place, with clean clear crisp mountain air and water cascading down over natural rock formations. Well worth the effort to see, especially after rain.

A volunteering transport trip to Purling Brook Falls was enjoyed immensely by our group recently. A quite windy , narrow road leads into the Springbrook area of the Gold Coast Hinterland and PB Falls. However , well worth the trip , even in inclement weather!...More

Very beautiful location. The walk down to the bottom of the waterfall is quite long though so wear good shoes, comfortable clothing and take water and snacks. There is a lookout 100m from the entrance and as well as one going in the other direction...More

You have to do the 4km track and see the waterfall from the bottom. It is truly a sight. Best in the morning before 11 am when the the rays of the sun combined with the fall creates rainbows! Absolutely gorgeous!

Hi Lansom, To be honest, the walk isn't too arduous. In fact, we first took our kids there when they were about that age. That said, we had two adults looking after two kids. Patience is key and long as you don't rush it... More
