There is a lot of construction on the roads through Arthur's Pass (during January/February when we were there). When there wasn't construction, the roads were a tiny bit dangerous, though extremely gorgeous.

I was a bit disappointed in this track. Whilst it is relatively easy the first half us through bush so you can't see much and the second half is next to the road. The return distance (as it's a there and back) is 6.4km.
