Looks like a paradise beach....all the facilities (cafes, surf shops etc) are a few hundred yards inland. We hired a couple of boards from Selvas - very friendly and just $10 each for half a day. Some shelters along the beach provide some shade
This is one of those fantastic places that is currently somewhat unknown and because of that stature it is a gem. The water is warm and the sunsets are spectacular...and the surfing is for all ranges with easy breaks near the shore and more challenging...More
Love this beach, good waves for learning to surf and it was clean and not very crowded. Very peaceful and relaxing. We walked all the way to the rocks by Playa Pelada and got some great pictures at sundown.
Great surfing on the beach & fun restaurants and shops along the way! We used Agua Tibia surf school to get started and they are just a short walk to playa guiones. We’re beginners so low tide was best to surf. That left a nice...More

If you are going to be there for a week or more I would recommend a a 4 x 4 and a golf cart. Its fun to travel around on a golf cart but for traveling away from town you will need the vehicle. Unless you are very good at... More
If you are going to be there for a week or more I would recommend a a 4 x 4 and a golf cart. Its fun to travel around on a golf cart but for traveling away from town you will need the vehicle. Unless you are very good at navigating I would hire a guide with 4 wheelers to carry you to the falls, out of the way beaches, etc. Its not fun to be lost in the pouring rain! (during the rainy season)
