Matosinhos beach is located in the homonymous town, close to Porto, in the North of Portugal. Here there is the Queijo Castle and. it is a good place to relax, sunbath or bath in summer time. Nice. (see also Castle of the Cheese)

Lovely 3 mile walk by the sea from Foz to Matosinhos. Only negative was the absolutely horrendous building behind the beach at Matsohinos. Reminiscent of the worst of the Eastern European Soviet Bloc. What were they thinking?!

A beautiful beach with a good atmosphere! Really enjoyed our time at the beach. The ocean is quite cool, but that’s nice with hot weather.

The beach is not very nice to swim, because it has a lot of waves what makes it perfect for suring. There are many surfing clubs near the beach which provide everything to lend, buy and also surfing lessons.

The Matosinhos Beach and surrounding area is know for its beautiful coastline along the Atlanta as well as great seafood restaurants. We enjoyed the cool breeze as we walked along the beach, witnessed Andebol games, ate a delicious fish lunch in a 'random' restaurant, and...More
