From the outside you could easily miss this. It is a low single, long building with just 1 tiny cross at the front, behind the rock wall. Inside the pictures are a sight to see. You are not allowed to take photos inside anymore. The...More

I don't give a rating of 5 often but this was a pretty amazing experience. It is a small Orthodox church split into 3-4 chambers with each having wall and ceiling Fresco's dating to early 18 century. The Ottomans and Russians were not kind to...More

This is a place everyone should see. Beautiful church with great paintings and icons. One of the best Eastern orthodox churches in the world.

Such an unassuming church from the outside but the inside has beautiful paintings depicting stories. I am glad I took the time to visit. No photos inside though.!

We enjoyed our visit to this orthodox church, which is not like any other we have ever visited. The exterior is plain but inside was the opposite. The paintings, archways, wooden furniture and raw beauty all contributed to the experience along with a four-song concert...More

This Orthodox Church is a real treat. Unassuming from the outside, it is truly beautiful inside, larger than expected and entirely covered with frescoes. The bonus is that four singers appeared and sang four songs for us. They have beautiful voices and the singing was...More

From the outside the place looks like a very low barn but on entering you are amazed by all the religious paintings on every available space (walls ceilings and floors). The church is divided into two separate chapels, the second chapel was original only for...More
