Stopped by izamal for a short while and drive around this town. Quaint, quiet and not that many tourist. Most of the buildings around the town is painted a pretty yellow colour. This convento is also painted in a similar colour. Worth coming in to take a break from the crowd.

Beautiful building in a small village some distance from Merida. No entry fee but it is a working Convent and some areas are off limits. There is a tour but you have to ask but the history is fascinating. Nice short visit if you are going somewhere else .
