This was a wonderful walk through history. Our guide was extremely knowledgeable and was a Bostonian with family dating back hundreds of years. Fascinating! He took us off the beaten path through some of the tiny alleys in Beacon Hill which provided escape for the...More

We loved the anecdotal pieces of history, the full costumed tour guides, and the overall tour. It was much better than venturing off on our own down the red brick stripe rode, with no info to learn.

Our guide Alan keep us intrigued and entertained the whole time! This was a wonderful way to spend the morning walking around the town and learning about Boston's role in the American Revolution.

The tour guides make the experience, yet they are forced to work in extreme weather conditions, even if only 1 person shows up for the 90 minute tour. Their wages are being undercut by discounted tickets and if they cannot find their own replacements they...More

Alan gave our group a great tour covering the Colonial era history of Boston and sprinkled in commentary about notable architecture along the route.

I'm so glad you enjoyed the tour but I don't believe we have ever taken three hours to do that tour. Did you perhaps arrive early and include the waiting time up until the tour starting time? Regards, Alan

We love visiting the historical locations, but with over 60 people in the tour group, we heard NOTHING that was shared by the guide. We spoke to the guide before the tour, and he assured us that the tour would be small, or an additional...More

We do not ever allow 60 people on a tour. This was not our tour. I wouldn't be pleased being on a tour with 60 other people either. You can choose Boston CityWalks and be assured we would never have a tour like that!

We took the walking tour yesterday & really enjoyed it. Our guide Alan was excellent; he was very knowledgeable about the history of Boston. He was very careful to keep the group together & to make sure that everyone could hear what he was saying....More

We did the two hour walking tour and really enjoying the information and the fact that we didn’t just follow the freedom trail. Our guide was knowledgeable and the group was small. Great tour!

Most folks ask the doorman of a close-by hotel to store the luggage and then tip $10 or $20 (depending on how much luggage) as a tip. If you plan to fly out of Boston, you can also utilize the Rowes Wharf Water Taxi... More
