Very expensive for a couple of stones. Not much to see apart from the stones. There’s a bus that takes you there after you have paid. Food wasn’t great so we drove a little to find Pizza Hut.

Luckily we have a National Trust membership card so were able to get in free, otherwise we thought that the admission price was somewhat expensive. A shuttle bus takes you from the visitors centre to the stones, running every 5 minutes or so.

It’s a MUST visit if you are a historical person, can’t believe that the Stonehenge is just in front of my eyes. The whole scenery is so beautiful! That was an amazing experience. Definitely worth to go.

Such a busy pace! We celebrated the autumnal equinox on an overcast but lovely day. There is a shuttle ride from the visitors center to the site. There is a fence surrounding the circle so touching is a no no.

You have seen the pictures but standing in front of these big stones is completely different. Take the shuttle to the site but walk back to the activity center if the weather is nice. We took our time (about an hour) on the way back...More

What a total scam by English heritage, Charging adults £23.50 entrance fee, You can drive a couple of miles to lark hill (Willoughby road) where you can park or keep going up the road where you can park up and get to exactly the same...More

£23.30 includes a gift aid donation on a walk-up ticket. It is cheaper if you buy your tickets online in advance. Nonetheless, English Heritage is a charity and the price of entry is used to care not only for Stonehenge but for the other 400+...More

I would look for a tour on that day. We went on a weekday during school time thinking it would be quiet. It was packed! I would assume on a special day like that you wouldn’t get near it without being a tour. Maybe worth... More

We did the visitors center last. Like others said it is small and only needs 1/2 an hour. Make sure you have the headsets, they really explain things.

One cannot touch the stones any longer, yet one can get rather close and take their time in admiring them. It's an experience that I wouldn't miss.
