Impossibly gorgeous rooms and grounds but I think I was most enthralled with the kitchens and such. At most of the great houses in the UK we never get to see where servants worked and lived. This was a treat.

If you want to take a small bag for a couple of drinks, that will be fine but keep in mind that they will be advertising their restaurant which is overpriced so it will be your decision. Have fun!
