wow!! I't got everything I need: a bit of 4x4ing; challenging hikes, water ways to cross; the odd snake to keep me on my toes - and not a lot of people. love, love, love it.
Between the raging Tully River, bubbling crystal clear creeks, and dense rainforest Tully Gorge National Park protects some of the regions most stunning untouched environments. Worth a short diversion for a picnic or a day trip to explore!
Drive up the gorge, enjoying views of the river as you go. Lots of places to pull over to explore. Parking area with facilities.
Tully Gorge amazing experience seeing the river roaring past. Waterfalls along the road. Water everywhere. Amazing to see the area flooded. Met some locals who showed us the sights and explained about the hydro town and it's demise. Well worth a visit.
Memorable Tully gorge in late autumn is beautiful. Love the rainforest although it was slippery in the damp areas. Good walking shoes with tread are essential.
