What a find!! Lovely folk, happy to share information and history of the property and the area. We had to buy luggage to accommodate the magnificent ports and meads we HAD to have. These bottles of yumminess are not available in shops, so plan ahead...More

There was no program for "the Barossa", and only if there was time enough for this extra tour. Yes, we fixed it and had 3 nights, it's ok to have "open tickets"!! After studies of the map, suddenly there was a plan :) next day...More

Greeted with a warm welcome and completed a tasting. During the tasting we were filled in on the history of the winery and their family's involvement. Wines were beautiful, but the ports were exceptional. Ensure you wander through to the back for a history lesson....More

I love this place. It is family owned, & you can't buy their products in bottle shops or restaurants. They have wonderful meade, wines, & a great & flavorful selection of fortified wines. The people are helpful, friendly, & give great customer service. I have...More

Unique interesting place, with a sort of museum in house. Very friendly staff, very helpful and knowledgeable. Wines are great as are the Fortified Wines, Meads and Ports. Another must visit place, been before and will visit again for sure.

My first visit to a meadery did not disappoint. Apart from the delicious products - particularly enjoyed the spicy 'wine' with cinnamon and nutmeg - I found the meadery process quite fascinating. Another good place to visit in the Barossa.

Excellent family run business with 30+ years history in the family and more than 100+ in the property as it is an old Seppeltsfield property that was purchased in the mid 80's. Hence the wonderful castle like turrents at the front. While others have marketed...More

First time visit, and pleasantly surprised. Bit worn down and old school, but phenomenal service and some delicious and very affordable wines. The late harvest Cabernet Sauvignon is a standout, served chilled! Oh, and the Blackcurrant liqueur! Yum! AND mead!

We came here for the port and the mead especially the blackcurrant and rum-raison ones. But the Falcon Shiraz isn't bad either. There are always cases on sale. Friendly staff and definitely worth a visit.

Chateau Doreen is visible from afar thanks to the huge vats for wine in the style of a castle tower. From afar, a real castle: a sort of Chambord in the Barossa valley. Despite its French name, this winery is managed by Fernando Martin representative...More
