Great castle, kids lived walking around it and looking over the edge! Some useful displays, sound effects and artefacts. Lots of interesting info. Toilets inside and outside at the base. Good ice cream stall at the bottom of the hill.

Not too sure about weekends but was open around 7 hours a day.There were still workers there when we went restoring the brick work so seemed to be open most days.
